Vitality was just one win away from securing a spot in the VCT EMEA Stage 1 Playoffs, and all they had to do was beat KOI. KOI was yet to clinch a single series victory and was at the bottom of Group B.

Considering this, it seemed an obvious conclusion that Vitality would easily take this series. However, KOI exceeded expectations, pulling off a remarkable upset by defeating Vitality by 2-1 and eliminating them from contention for the Playoffs.

KOI swiftly took the lead on the first map, Split, with a 4-0 score. Although Vitality managed to narrow the gap, ending the first half at 7-5, KOI shut them down entirely in the second half and secured the map with a commanding 13-5 victory.

Vitality's map pick, Breeze, went in their favor. The two teams were evenly matched in the first half, ending with a tied score of 6-6. However, Vitality dominated the second half, allowing KOI to claim only a single round and ultimately clinching the map.

Icebox was the decider map of the series, and KOI delivered the final blow to Vitality's hopes by defeating them by 13-4 and sealing their first series win in VCT EMEA Stage 1.
