A New Hardcore Mode Is Coming To Apex Legends

When it comes to battle royale games, Apex Legends is considered to be one of the very best. The game is fast-paced, with many unique weapons and characters to choose from. Apex Legends also has a lot of variety that players look forward to when they load up the game, and on top of that, it is heavily supported by the developers as well.

Special events keep games like this going, and Celestial Sunrise Collection Event is fast approaching. Along with a new event, players will also get a new hardcore mode in Apex Legends called Hardcore Royal. So what exactly is the hardcore mode coming to Apex Legends, and how will it affect gameplay?

What Is Hardcore Royal In Apex Legends?

EA Games has detailed what players can expect in the upcoming hardcore mode in Apex Legends. The first thing you need to know is that hardcore mode will not replace the normal Trios mode. So players can choose to play Hardcore Royal or Trios like they normally would.

Hardcore Royal is a game mode where you can die much easier during a match. In Hardcore Royal, you will only be able to get White Armor, have no helmets, the Ring is set to max damage at all times, armor will not spawn in Deathboxes, and you will have a limited HUD as well.

Hardcore Royal challenges players in two specific realms. The first domain it will test is your communication skills due to the limited HUD. The second domain it will test is your accuracy and survivability because your headshots will always do maximum damage due to the lack of helmets.

When Is Hardcore Royal Coming To Apex Legends?

If you are an Apex Legends player interested in testing yourself in the new Hardcore Royal mode, you will not have to wait too long to get into the new upcoming game mode. Hardcore Royal is part of the upcoming Celestial Sunrise Collection Event, which is the Apex Legends' way of celebrating the new Lunar New Year.

That said, the new Hardcore Royal will be coming on January 24, 2023. Just remember that Hardcore Royal can only be played by accounts that are Level 20 or higher. So make sure that you reach Level 20 by the time the new Hardcore Royal comes out.
