Best Meta Weapons In Warzone Season 5 - Strongest And Most Broken Guns

Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5 "Last Stand" introduced a range of new weapons to the fray, including the new RA 225 SMG, EX1 prototype energy rifle, and Valois Revolver. Releasing in the midseason update are a further two assault rifles, the BP50 and Lienna 57.

Understandably, coupled with a slew of weapon balance changes, players must change their armament as they adapt to the meta shift before rushing into battle this season. As a result, this guide outlines five of the strongest and most broken guns in the current meta in Warzone Season 5.

The Warzone Season 5 patch brought an array of weapon balance changes. When coupled with the five new guns joining the fray, these changes naturally trigger a shift in the gun and gameplay meta.

STG44 - Best AR

The STG44 is a robust assault rifle and has been a strong meta weapon in Warzone for some time. In the latest weapon balance changes, the STG44 received buffs to the VDD 760 mm 05B barrel attachment, resulting in horizontal recoil and muzzle velocity reductions by 20% and 40%, respectively.

The gun's 8mm Kurz 60 Round Drums also received an ADS Time Scalar Penalty change from -7% to -10%. However, while the STG44 is arguably the strongest assault rifle in Warzone Season 5, some honorable mentions exist.

Worthy adversaries include the Cooper Carbine, XM4, Vargo 52, FARA 83, AS44, and Nikita AVT. Interestingly, even the Grau 5.56 (MW) is looking up, having received a few standout buffs this season.

PPSh-41 - Best SMG

The PPSh-41 is arguably the best SMG in Warzone Season 5, following multiple buffs to its ZAC 300mm, 8mm Nambu 71 Rnd Mags, and ZAC Folding attachments. As a result, the PPSh-41 might turn into the next meta pick overall this season. The weapon boasts an exceptional TTK, thanks to its high fire rate, mobility, and respectable damage.

Honorable mentions include the MP-40, H4 Blixen, Armaguerra 43, and Marco 5. Each of these guns was dominant in the previous season and will continue to be competitive in Warzone Season 5. These guns have been a demonstrable powerful force in Warzone, offering high damage output and reliability in close-medium range combat.

Type 100 SMG

The Type 100 is another strong SMG in Warzone Season 5; however, it's primarily directed to advanced players who know how to handle the weapon's recoil best. The Type 100 has excellent TTK, making it a dominant force to be reckoned with when in the right hands.

UGM-8 - Best LMG

The UGM-8 light machine gun is the best LMG in Warzone Season 5, boasting insane damage, a high fire rate, and high mobility for its class. In the latest balance change, the gun received a slight sustained recoil adjustment; however, this will hardly be noticeable to most players. An alternative to the UGM-8 would arguably be the Bruen MK9, which has been a reliable option in meta.

3-Line Rifle - Best Sniper

Last but not least, the 3-Line Rifle is one of the best sniper rifles in Warzone Season 5; it is the ultimate option for the long-range meta. This weapon did receive a nerf to its .30-06 20 Round Mags attachment, reducing the damage bonus from 10% to 7%. The Rate of Fire Penalty was also decreased to -6.5%.

Still, the 3-Line Rifle is an excellent option with solid one-shot kill potential. Honorable mentions include the Type 99 and ZRG 20mm.
