The Elder Scrolls Online does not offer an offline mode, meaning any updates or maintenance require the game to be taken offline. If you've landed on this page, ESO servers may be currently undergoing scheduled maintenance, which occurs when a substantial update is implemented or launching a new season.

11th March 2024 Update: NA & EU Megaservers Period Announcement

Developer ZeniMax Online Studios announced that maintenance has concluded to release the latest patch update along with the Scions of Ithelia DLC, forgoing two maintenance periods for console and PC, respectively. The maintenance period occurred between 1 am PT / 4 am ET / 8 am UTC and 7 am PT / 10 am ET / 2 pm UTC on 11th March 2024.

Bethesda strives to keep its game servers running without interruptions to ensure fans can play uninterrupted. However, it can take several hours to complete updates when necessary maintenance is required.

Although the team works diligently to get the game up and running as soon as possible, it's not uncommon for Elder Scrolls Online to be offline for four to five hours, or sometimes even longer on rare occasions. Rest assured that Bethesda aims to provide a seamless gaming experience for all players.

For Scions of Ithelia DLC specifically, maintenance begins on 11th March 2024 at 11 am PT / 4 am ET / 8 am UTC on NA and EU megaservers for PC and Mac, which will remain down for six hours. The extended maintenance period was also to roll out the latest patch update, which, according to the official Bethesda Support Twitter account, the servers returning online at 7 am PT / 10 am ET / 2 pm UTC.

When Will ESO Megaservers Be Back Online?

Determining the exact duration of ESO server maintenance is usually provided hours before maintenance begins on the NA and EU megaservers. Generally, the megaservers are taken down before being brought back online after four to five hours unless specified otherwise.

As mentioned above, the NA and EU megaservers for PC and Mac are back online at 7 am PT / 10 am ET / 2 pm UTC on 11th March 2024. This was confirmed recently in a post from the Bethesda Support Twitter account, as servers have be brought online 

You can stay informed by monitoring the official ESO Forum, visiting the ESO Server Status page website, or checking for the latest update on the official Bethesda Support Twitter account. Additionally, once the servers are operational, you may have to wait in a queue to access the game.
