Elder Scrolls Online has a wide array of complex gameplay attributes that you may find overwhelming at first. Jewelry crafting is one such attribute that, while optional, is essential for crafting build-altering Traits and gear pieces.

If you're curious to know the ins and outs of crafting jewelry in ESO, including details like how to unlock it, its mechanics, resource collection, and more, you're in the right place. Here's our guide that covers everything you need to know about crafting jewelry in ESO.

HowTo Unlock Jewelry Crafting In ESO

You can unlock Jewelry Crafting in ESO by purchasing the Summerset Chapter. Summerset is part of the Necrom Collection or High Isle Collection, so if you have purchased those, you already have unlocked the option to craft Jewelry.

Even if you don't own Summerset, you can still gather the resources necessary to craft Jewelry, though you won't be able to craft anything. Once it's available, you can find jewelry crafting stations next to other crafting stations in almost every Zone in the game.

You will find the following options to tinker with at jewelry crafting stations:

  • Refine
  • Creation
  • Deconstruct
  • Improvement
  • Research
  • Sketches

Select the Creation column, and you will find the option to craft a Ring or a Necklace, the materials required to craft those pieces of Jewelry and Traits that you can embed in the jewelry you craft.

Traits in ESO are perks, which you can unlock and embed on a piece of gear by researching it. Researching will destroy the Trait's original gear in the process. It also takes 3 to 6 hours in real time to research, so return to the crafting station once it's done.

Where To Find Materials To Craft Jewelry In ESO

Before you can craft anything, you will need raw materials like Pewter Dust. To get these, you will need to find Seams full of dust materials. You can find these near cliffs and on beaches. Just look for rocky places throughout Tamriel, and you should be able to find Seams that you can mine for valuable materials.

The required material for crafting jewelry depends on your character's level:

Raw Material Character Level
Pewter Level 1-25
Copper Level 26-50
Silver  Champion Level 10-60
Electrum Champion Level 70-140
Platinum Champion Level 150-160
