Is Gold Road Included In ESO Plus?

Bethesda have revealed that the next Chapter in The Elder Scrolls Online is called Gold Road, and will have players returning to a region of Cyrodiil that we haven't seen since The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. As part of this new expansion, a new system mechanic will be made available — Scribing. This allows players to customize their skills to further enhance their build and roleplay experience.

So, if you're as excited as we are to jump into ESO: Gold Road Chapter, then you might be wondering: is Gold Road inluded in ESO Plus?

Is Elder Scrolls Online Gold Road Chapter Included With ESO Plus?

Sadly, no. The Elder Scrolls Online: Gold Road Chapter is not included as part of the ESO Plus subscription. But this likely won't come as a surprise to many ESO players. ESO's newest chapter has never been included as part of the ESO Plus subscription — the same was true when Necrom launched. The latest chapters will usually find their way to the subscription service once a newer chapter has launched. 

As it stands, the Gold Road Chaper will not be included in ESO Plus for some time. For now, players will need to purchase the chapter separately. This can be done by purchasing the full game and package outright, through the Gold Road Standard Edition or Gold Road Deluxe Collection, or by purchasing the Gold Road Upgrade. 

When Will ESO: Gold Road Be Available In ESO Plus?

While there's currently no date for when Gold Road will become available in ESO Plus, players can expect it to join the service once a new chapter is released. However, this should be good news for those who have yet to enjoy the Necrom Chapter, which released in 2023. If past schedules are anything to go by, once Gold Road releases in June 2024, Necrom should find its way to ESO Plus.
