The Fortnite Championship Series (FNCS) Global Championship has concluded for 2023, where 50 duos battled it out for their share of a $4 million prize pool. The winners alone would walk away with $1 million. 50 teams began in the Upper Brackets where the winning 25 would head straight to the Grand Finals.
The 25 Upper Bracket losers went on to face duos from the Last Chance Major in a last ditch effort to earn themselves a place in the Grand Finals, and a shot at the prize money. The Global Championship ran on October 13-15, 2023 at the Royal Arena in Copenhagen, Denmark, with the Grand Finals taking place on October 15.
The duo that took home the crown, however, was Cooper and Mero, topping the leaderboard with a 330 point victory. Aside from pride, the duo were awarded the FNCS trophy, the Axe of Champions in-game Pickaxe and a $1 Million prize.
While Cooper and Mero sported a strong lead, coming in second place at 271 points were GG. Kami & Tundra Setty who won the FNCS Invitational 2022. Third place winners Valiant TruleX & GUILD Chio were close behind at 268 points.
