Fortnite fans have been begging for the return of classic Fortnite in every way, be it the return of old items, simpler weapons, or those iconic POIs. With the start of its latest season, kicking off on November 3, 2023, Epic Games finally answered the call by taking players all the way back to Chapter 1 in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season OG.

This season, the classic Chapter 1 map has been brought back in all its glory for a limited time featuring all the POIs we love and remember, from Pleasant Park to Retail Row and, of course, Tilted Towers. To top it all off, classic weapons and items are also available to use once more, including Shopping Carts and the old Pump Shotgun.

All this effort hasn't gone unnoticed by the player base, either. On November 4, 2023, Fortnite's player count hit its all-time peak, with over with over 44.7 million players jumping back in, racking up an impressive 102 million hours played.

Epic Games posted the statistic on November 5, saying, "Way to start things off with a big bang 💥 We're blown away by the response to #FortniteOGFortniteOGCh1_V2.png."

Over the coming weeks, Season OG is set to change by introducing aspects of Chapter 1's seasons. With the hotfix dropping on November 9, for example, players will see the return of Chapter 1 Season 6 items such as the Quadcrasher, Mounted Turret, and more.

Fortnite Season OG won't be around for ever, with players having roughly over a month to get the absolute most out of this classic season.
