Fortnite Ranked Chapter 4 Season 4: When Do Ranks Reset

Launching towards the latter part of Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2, Epic Games rolled out their new competitive arm of Fortnite — Fortnite Ranked. Beginning with the introductory Season Zero, Fortnite Ranked is available across Battle Royale and Zero Build modes. Players compete across the usual matches, this time trying to place as highly as possible to move through the tiers and ranks.

Players begin in rank Bronze and move their way through Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Elite, Champion, and finally, Unreal where they'll stay for the remainder of the season. Aside from bragging rights, players also stand to gain some exclusive Ranked rewards through completing special quests during matches.

The first season of Fortnite Ranked lasted up until the end of Chapter 4 Season 3. But, as each season of Ranked passes, player ranks will reset. So, when is that set to happen?

Update 8 September: We've updated this page with the more recent information available regarding rank reset in Fortnite Ranked.

According to Epic Games, every player's rank will reset in Fortnite Ranked at the end of each overall season. This means that ranks will reset at the end of Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4. This is currently scheduled to happen on November 3, 2023.

Fortnite Ranked has endured a few minor bumps since its launch in Chapter 4 Season 2, primarily involving lengthy queue times. As part of the new season updates, Epic Games said of Ranked that they were "continuing to use this time to make necessary adjustments such as improving queue times, making sure matchmaking puts you against similarly-ranked opponents, and more."
