Florida Joker Wants a Word With Rockstar Following GTA 6 Trailer

The real-life "Florida Joker," aka Lawrence Sullivan, apparently saw his likeness in the GTA 6 trailer and doesn't seem all too happy with Rockstar Games.

Rockstar Games nearly broke the internet with the long-awaited Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer, giving us our first look at Leonida, the game's fictional version of Florida, USA. We saw a lot of crazy shenanigans in the trailer, from some not-so-safe alligator handling and apparently references to real-life crazy news often starting with the line "Florida man" and then going in a bonkers direction.

That's where Florida Joker, aka Lawrence Sullivan, comes in. The GTA 6 trailer, at the 1:04 mark, showcases a man being arrested who looks like a budget version of DC Comic's iconic villain, and the similarities between Florida Joker and the character in GTA 6 is tough to deny, as tough as wrestling an alligator for a half-eaten popsicle...one might say.

Florida Joker Wants To Talk To GTA...

So mugshots following the arrests of Lawrence Sullivan, the Florida Joker, have gone viral. Lawrence is a bit of a celebrity in the Sunshine State and has amassed quite a social media following.

The 30-year-old tattoo model's latest arrest was in March 2023 for a warrant out of Miami-Dade and was called the "wannabe Batman villain" by a local news outlet.

Well, Florida Joker saw the GTA 6 trailer and doesn't seem very happy. Taking to TikTok, he explained:

You know they got that character with the face tattoos, you know who they got that inspired by? By me. Just look me up, Florida Joker, Miami Joker, you know what I’m talking about. GTA, we gotta talk.

To be clear, while there do appear to be similarities, Lawrence Sullivan wasn't the first person to get face tattoos. What's more, his nickname is quite literally pointing to his likeness to a DC villain...

It is unclear if Florida Joker has attempted to contact Rockstar Games, as he surely cannot talk directly to "GTA." The GTA 6 developers have not responded publically at the time of writing, but it will be interesting to see if something comes out of this situation.

While we wait for the situation to unfold like a tornado...help us figure out if Troy Baker is in GTA 6!

GTA 6's trailer, of course, does reference some crazy real-life events; that much is clear. Just check out the trailer below in case you haven't seen it.
