Hogwarts Legacy Animal Door Puzzle: How To Unlock

While continuing your Hogwarts Legacy journey, you will come across various puzzles you can solve to collect some loot. One of these is the Number Animal Door puzzles that you will find at different places in the game. This puzzle will include numbers on the center of the door and animal symbols around them on the boundary. 

These puzzles can be tricky to solve, and you can be stuck here for hours. However, don't worry; we have explained how to solve them below to save you time.

How to Solve Hogwarts Legacy Door Puzzle

The first and most important step to solving Hogwarts Legacy Number Animal Door Puzzle is to get the Arithmancy Study Guide Page which is "A page torn from an Arithmancy study guide that contains a list of numbers assigned to various magical beasts."

The page will help you correlate the animal symbols to the numbers and find the correct answers. You can get it by fast traveling to Divination Classroom Floo Flame, and from there, go across the wooden rafters in the room and take the first right turn. There you will find a blackboard, and next to it, there will be a blue-colored chest. Open it, and you will get your Arithmancy Study Guide Page.

Now, on the left side of the blackboard, you will find a Number Door puzzle that you have to solve using this page, and you will find several puzzles like this. In order to solve them, open the page, and you will see that each animal is assigned a number as follows:

• Owl: 0
• Unicorn: 1
• Goat: 2
• Three-Headed Dragon: 3
• Bird On A Branch: 4
• Five-Legged Creature: 5
• Salamander: 6
• Beast with Four Tentacles: 7
• Spider: 8
• Multi-Headed Serpent Beast: 9

Look at the first triangle with "?" on the door and note down the number in the middle of it. Then, check the numbers and symbols at the corners of the triangle. For example, in the puzzle below, the number at the center of the above triangle is 13, and on the corners, there is the number 1, a spider, and a question mark (?). Our objective is to find what number should be there in the place of the question mark. 

In order to do this, find Spider on Arithmancy Study Guide Page, and you will see that the number assigned to it is 8. Now, the maths problem here is to add the numbers at the corners, and the sum should be equal to the number in the center. In this case, since the number at the center is 13, the equation will be 13 = 1 + 8 + "?" which means that the number at the place of "?" should be 4. 

Now, look at the Arithmancy Study Guide Page again and look at the animal assigned number 4, which is Bird On A Branch. Now, you will find two plaques near the door, one with "?" and the other with "??" and you have to go to the one with "?" and Roll it until you get Bird On A Branch symbol on it.

Then, go back to the door and do the same with the other triangle, and in this case, the "??" will be 5. Now, look at Arithmancy Study Guide Page, and the symbol corresponding to it is the Five-Legged Creature. Now, go to the other plaque with "??" and Roll it until you get the Five-Legged Creature symbol on it.

Once done, go near the door again, and you will get an option to open it, and inside it, you will find chests with plenty of loot.

In order to unlock the puzzle doors in Hogwarts Legacy, you need to use the dials to replace the question mark on each triangle with the correct animal symbol. To help you out, head over to the Library Annex and look for a parchment near the Divination Floo Flame. This parchment reveals that each animal is associated with a particular number. The triangles on the door offer two clues, which could be either a symbol or a number. Your goal is to figure out the third clue so that the sum equals the middle number.
