Honkai: Star Rail closed beta download size, device specs and more

The Honkai: Star Rail closed beta went live in the early hours of the morning on 27th October 2021, inviting Trailblazers to explore infinite possibilities with the new strategy, turn-based RPG from Genshin Impact developer, miHoYo. If you are a fan of Genshin Impact, or the developer's previous title Honkai Impact 3rd specifically, Honkai: Star Rail is an exciting prospect indeed. 

Unfortunately, not everyone can get into the closed beta for Honkai: Star Rail. If you are one of the lucky Trailblazers who managed to get in or hope to gain access soon, we've got you covered with the download size for Honkai: Star Rail's closed beta, as well as the device requirements and which operating system (OS) you will need to run on either PC or iOS devices.

Honkai: Star Rail closed beta download size 

As the first closed beta for Honkai: Star Rail, this version is only available for those on PC and iOS platforms.

miHoYo suggests players ensure that they have between 8 and 10 GB of available storage on their device in order to have a smooth gaming experience.

The download/file size for the Honkai: Star Rail closed beta, however, is much smaller.

• PC closed beta package size: 4.46 GB
• iOS closed beta package size: 3.27 GB

Those who managed to get into the closed beta for Honkai: Star Rail should have received an email on 27th October with the download link, and have access via the miHoYo account they signed up with.

Device specs and OS required for Honkai: Star Rail

To ensure a smooth experience and avoid any issues, Trailblazers on PC should have a Windows 7 or later (only supports x64) OS installed. For those on iOS devices, iOS 12 or later is required, with macOS currently not supported.

• iPhone XS, iPhone XR, or better
• iPad with Apple A12 processor or better (October 2018 model or later)

PC recommended specs:

• Intel i5 Processor
• 8GB RAM
