What are server transfer tokens in New World?

Server transfer tokens in New World is essentially an item in the game's shop that you need to own to move your character to a different world.

This item allows you to transfer a character you own to a different server. It is a once-off use, meaning that if you use it on a specific character the item is consumed. 

As you can see from the image above, the first server transfer token is free for all New World players.

But what if you make a mistake and want to transfer a character again? Or maybe transfer a different one? That's what the next section of this guide is for.

How to get more New World server transfer tokens

Amazon Games has revealed that the team will be monitoring the world populations and queue times to "evaluate the need for an additional wave of server transfer tokens to be given out for free."

The developers will make sure players have "plenty of time" to find the right server. After using your free sever transfer tokens in New World, to get more, you will later need to purchase one from the in-game store.

An exact server transfer token price has not been revealed just yet. The developers plan to give players notice before server transfer tokens change to a paid service.
