Mystery Heroes is one of the most popular game modes in Overwatch 2. In this game mode, players do not choose their own heroes. Instead, every player gets a hero randomly selected without consideration of the overall team composition. So a team could end up with 2 tanks, 2 DPS, and only 1 support hero.

This game mode is great for those who want to play a lot of different heroes. Mystery Heroes is also an excellent game mode for players who are very knowledgeable about the game to show off what they know. Because of these factors, Blizzard decided that it was time for players to show off their stuff with Competitive Mystery Heroes.
