Pokémon GO Larvitar Community Day Classic – All Special Research Tasks & Rewards

It is almost time for the next Community Day to happen in Pokémon GO which has kept Trainers entertained since its inception. Community Days are a good time for players to come together to get some Special Research Tasks done.

For the upcoming Larvitar Community Day, players are going to have to take on more Special Research Tasks to earn even more rewards for themselves. Here, we will go over what exactly are the Special Research Tasks you can do in Pokémon GO during the upcoming Community Day and what rewards you can expect as well.

21st January 2023 Update: The Larvitar Community Day Classic has begun in Pokémon GO as we've provided all the Special research tasks and rewards detailed below.

All Pokémon GO Larvitar Community Day Classic Special Research Tasks

When Niantic launches a Community Day in Pokemon GO, players are excited to see what kinds of Special Research they can do for that day. After all, these Special Research Tasks are restricted to just those who participate in the Community Day, which usually means special rewards.

Players can participate in Special Research Tasks by purchasing a ticket for $1.00 or the local equivalent. At the moment, the details of the Special Research Tasks have not been revealed yet. Once we know more, we will update this page accordingly. More than likely, it will involve catching and evolving Larvitar all the way until you get Tyranitar.

Pokémon GO's Larvitar Community Day Classic Special Research Tasks & Rewards:

Larvitar Community Day Classic Special Research (1/4):

  • Catch 15 Larvitar: Larvitar Encounter
  • Make five Nice Throws: Larvitar Candy x20
  • Power up Pokémon ten times: Poké Ball x15
    • Page Rewards: Incense x1. Stardust x2000 and a Larvitar Encounter

Larvitar Community Day Classic Special Research (2/4):

  • Catch 15 Larvitar: Larvitar Candy x30
  • Evolve three Larvitar: Pinap Berry x10
  • Transfer ten Pokémon: Pupitar Encounter
    • Page Rewards: Incense x, 1,500 XP and a Larvitar Encounter

Larvitar Community Day Classic Special Research (3/4):

  • Evolve a Pupitar: Lucky Egg x1
  • Make three Great Curveball Throws: Larvitar Candy x50
  • Transfer ten Pokémon: Great Ball x15
    • Page Rewards: 2,500 XP, Rocket Radar x1 and Ultra Ball x15 

Larvitar Community Day Classic Special Research (4/4):

  • Claim Reward!: Silver Pinap Berry x2
  • Claim Reward!: Larvitar Encounter
  • Claim Reward!: 3,500 XP
    • Page Rewards: Stardust x3000, Rare Candy x3 and a Tyranitar Encounter

There are a couple of reasons why you will want to do the Special Research Tasks during a Community Day in Pokemon GO. The first is that there is a special story that you can participate in with these tasks. The other, of course, is the special rewards that you will get for completing the tasks.

For now, the Special Reward tasks are unknown, but we will update this page as soon as we do know more. But we can guess by previous Special Research Tasks that you will receive the Larvitar evolution line, XP, Stardust, Incense, and more items. These items will be very helpful for players who want to power up their caught Larvitar.
