ConcernedApe Reveals Stardew Valley 1.6 Release & Thanks Fans

This is not a drill. Indie developer ConcernedApe has finally revealed the official release date of the highly-anticipated Stardew Valley 1.6 update, which is much closer than many fans might have expected.

We aren't going to waste your time here. Late on 26 February 2024 (the 8th anniversary of Stardew Valley), ConcernedApe revealed the release date as 19 March 2024! That's right, mark those calendars and set your alarms!

In case you didn't know, Stardew Valley's 1.6 update is much bigger than initially expected. You can check out the incomplete list of additions below:

• A new major festival
• 2 new mini-festivals
• New late-game content
• New items and crafting recipes
• Alternative Joja storylines
• 100+ new lines of dialogue
• Winter villager outfits
• PC support for 8+ players
• Small adjustments
• New farm type
• New secrets

ConcernedApe continued by nothing the worldwide concert tour and mentioning the official Stardew Valley cookbook, before announcing the game has now sold over 30 million copies, and thanking fans: " I'm eternally grateful to the players (you!) for making all of this possible."

At the time of writing, it is unclear exactly when the Stardew Valley 1.6 update will be released for consoles or mobile devices, but the indie dev did say they will follow as soon as possible.
