Stardew Valley SquidFest Guide: Start Time, Location, Rewards

Stardew Valley's 1.6 update added a lot of new content, including some fishing festivals such as the brand new SquidFest. Just as its name suggests, the SquidFish is all about celebrating the humble Squid. Here's everything you need to know about Stardew Valley's SquidFest, including when it starts, how to participate, and what rewards you can earn for joining in.

Where & When Is The SquidFest Event In Stardew Valley?

The SquidFest takes place on the 12th and 13th of Winter in Stardew Valley, lasting all day long. Like the Trout Derby, it takes place in the Cindersap Forest by the river and tasks players with catching Squid, as its name implies.

How To Win The SquidFest In Stardew Valley?

The more Squid the player catches during SquidFest, the more of them they'll be able to turn in for prizes. The number of Squids you've caught will be displayed in the upper left throughout the event.

The best way to catch as many Squids as possible is to create a Bait Maker and some Squid Bait; this will significantly increase your chances of catching Squid instead of another fish.

SquidFest Prizes

Players can turn their Squids in in return for some great prizes, which differ each day. There are four prize tiers, depending on the amount of Squids caught. Here's an overview of what you'll get as a reward:

Winter 12th Prizes

• Copper (1 Squid) - Deluxe Bait (20)
• Iron (3 Squids) - Dish O' The Sea (Guaranteed) + Winter Seeds (10) OR Mystery Boxes (2)
• Gold (5 Squids) - Pearl (1) + Coffee (3)
• Iridium (8 Squids) - Squid Kid Painting (1) + The Art O' Crabbing (If not already owned) OR Mystery Boxes (3) + Seafoam Pudding (1) (If already owned)

Winter 13th Prizes

• Copper (2 Squids) - Trap Bobber (1)
• Iron (5 Squids) - Dish O' The Sea + Winter Seeds (15) OR Mystery Boxes (3)
• Gold (7 Squids) - Treasure Chest (1) + Triple Shot Espresso (3)
• Iridium (10 Squids) - Squid Hat, The Art O' Crabbing (If not already owned) OR Mystery Boxes (3) + Seafoam Pudding (1) (If already owned)
