Lords of the Fallen presents a variety of powerful bosses you'll have to confront as you progress through the game. While most of these bosses are central to the player's storyline, there are also mini-bosses that you won't directly interact with but still need to defeat. An example of such a mini-boss is Scourged Sister Delyth, the second boss encountered in the game.

Even though she may not be a primary antagonist of the game, Scourged Sister Delyth still poses a significant challenge for many players. If you're unsure how to effectively deal with her, you'll likely find yourself returning to the Vestige more often than you'd like. In this guide, we will provide a detailed breakdown of how to defeat Scourged Sister Delyth in Lords of the Fallen.

How To Beat Scourged Sister Delyth

Scourged Sister Delyth is a mini-boss you'll encounter shortly after defeating Pieta, She of Blessed Renewal. Fortunately, she's not as challenging as Pieta, but she can still be a formidable opponent if you're not attentive. When you first face her, there are two important things to keep in mind: the layout of the arena and the Umbral Parasite assisting her.

How To Beat Scourged Sister Delyth Initial tips
The first thing you'll want to do is clear the Umbral Parasite buffing the boss and move the fight to the upper level of the arena. (Picture: Shane / Hexworks)

The arena is relatively small, but there are pillars on each side that provide you with some space to heal and evade her attacks. Make sure to move around and use these pillars as cover when necessary. The Umbral Parasite can be found directly to the right of the boss under the archway. Once you destroy the parasite using your Umbral Siphon, you can deal regular damage to the boss and engage in the fight more effectively.

Our first tip is to lead the fight up the stairs. This not only gives you more room, which you'll need because the boss is quite aggressive, and you'll need to dodge frequently, but it also grants you access to the pillars that can shield you from her Radiant magic. You can start dealing with the boss's attacks from this elevated position. Her attacks are not overly difficult to avoid, but they can inflict substantial damage.

To bet the boss, you'll need to evade her attacks which range from melee to magic as shown above, which can be done by pacing your attacks out and utilizing charged attacks to break her posture. (Picture: Shane / Hexworks)

Scourged Sister Delyth utilizes several melee attacks with her Flail weapon, which can deal significant damage but is also susceptible to parrying or blocking. Take advantage of this. It's worth noting that she doesn't stagger easily and can interrupt your light combo, so consider using heavy attacks to stagger her more quickly.

At around 65% health, she will enter her second phase, engaging Radiant magic. This boosts her movement and attack capabilities and introduces magic attacks, such as a small tornado of blood and magic that can deal heavy damage if not dodged. Her evasion becomes faster, and the range of her attacks slightly increases during this phase, so be aware of these buffs.

In the overall fight, you'll want to maneuver to an open space in the arena, watch out for her attacks to evade or parry, and deliver a Grievous Strike, then respond with a mix of heavy and light attacks. During the second phase, maintain the same strategy but exercise more caution and patience, as this phase can quickly deplete your health if you become too greedy. While the boss is susceptible to the Soul Flay ability, it's not entirely necessary to make the fight easier.

So there you have it, a quick guide on defeating the mini-boss, Scourged Sister Delyth, in Lords of the Fallen. Defeating her will reward you with the Scourged Sister Flail, Arm Wrappings, a Vestige Seed, and 3500 Vigor. Armed with these tips, you'll have no trouble bringing this sinner to justice.
