You might encounter various errors while playing Valorant for different reasons. Recently, many players have reported that they are facing VAL Error Code: 46 while trying to log into the game. This could be pretty frustrating for everyone, and here is why you are experiencing it and how it is fixed.

Riot Games has officially revealed that if you get Valorant "VAL Error 46," this means that the servers are taken down for maintenance to push out an update or hotfix, which is a planned downtime. Right now, the next scheduled for Valorant might take place for patch 7.09 i.e. Episode 7 Act 3, and it will take place on October 31and will end around 18:00 PST // 1:00 PM ET // 6:00 PM GMT and the exact time will depend on your region.

During the maintenance, engineers are working to deploy the update, and till then, you won't be able to enter the game. So, all you have to do is keep track of the server status and try logging in once the maintenance ends. However, make sure that you update Valorant to its latest patch. You can follow the latest Valorant status on its official service status page.
