CD Projekt Red's upcoming first-person RPG, Cyberpunk 2077, is set to release on 19th November 2020, and it is arguably the most highly-anticipated release of the year. Now, the developers have confirmed Cyberpunk 2077 will have free DLC, just like The Witcher 3.

Cyberpunk 2077 free DLC

The Witcher 3, one of the greatest RPGs ever made, got 16 pieces of free DLC. CD Projekt Red gave players free new quests, cosmetics and more, which many other developers would have charged for.

With Cyberpunk 2077, it looks like the developer will go down the same path, giving players free DLC after the game's launch.

When asked by a fan if Cyberpunk 2077 would have free DLC like it's big brother The Witcher 3, the game's official Twitter account responded with a Kool-Aid GIF.

Keep in mind this doesn't mean all Cyberpunk 2077 DLC will be free.

With The Witcher 3, CD Projekt Red did give away several pieces of DLC for free but there were also paid expansion DLC. These expansions, namely Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine, however, were as big as many full games.

At the time of writing, there is no indication what these free Cyberpunk 2077 DLC would be as they will likely form part of the game's post-launch content for years to come.

The final DLC for The Witcher 3 was a New Game+ mode, which allowed for even more replayability in the massive title.

Hopefully, we will see some great free DLC for Cyberpunk 2077 after its launch on 19th November 2020.
