Hogwarts Legacy is an immersive ARPG set in the 1800s and is deep-rooted in the wizarding world of Harry Potter. Developed by Avalanche Software and launching in February 2023, the game will see players cast into houses, learn spells, and explore Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry's castle grounds.

Following a preview at Gamescom 2022, the developers unveiled the necessary system requirements to play Hogwarts Legacy on PC. As many might expect, the open-world experience will require a beefy setup, with the minimum PC requirements asking for a GTX1070 graphics card to play at "low-quality" 1080p 60fps settings. This guide details Hogwarts Legacy's official PC system requirements, including the download size and whether preloading is available.

Hogwarts Legacy - Preload & Download Size

Hogwarts Legacy requires 85 GB of available storage space to run. At this time, it's unclear if the game will be available to preload; however, considering the mammoth download size, we could see preloading become available closer to launch on 10th February 2022.

These are the official PC system requirements to run Hogwarts Legacy smoothly on PC, per the Steam store page. As you can tell, you will need a relatively modern gaming setup to play this game; Hogwarts Legacy will require a GTX1070 graphics card to run at 1080p at 60fps on "low-quality" settings.
