Activision has announced that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will be the next entry in the long-running Call of Duty franchise. Just recently, we learned that the game is set to release on November 10, and will be a direct sequel to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2022).

With the new game, there's going to be a lot of new content on the way. In the name of improving Call of Duty, it seems like Activision is stepping up its game to prevent cheaters from ruining the online experience. Here, we are going to go over Activision's plans for RICOCHET Anti-Cheat in Modern Warfare 3.

In the past, Call of Duty has had a problem with cheaters ruining the online experience across mainline entries and Warzone. Cheats included seeing enemies through walls, perfect accuracy, and plenty more. In a recent announcement, Activision stated that there will be new additions to the RICOCHET Anti-Cheat system for Modern Warfare 3.

Amongst a number of Anti-Cheat features, RICOCHET makes it so that those using a program to cheat in Call of Duty will have their bullets return on them, killing them instead of innocent players. At the time of writing, Activision have yet to explicity reveal what additions to RICOCHET will be made for Modern Warfare 3. All that we know is that Activision are making improvements to stomp out cheaters in Call of Duty.

Call of Duty has been suffering with a toxicity problem throughout its history. However, it looks like Activision are set to make improvements to further cut down toxicity with Modern Warfare 3's rollout.

For now, the plans are unknown. It could be an automated system that makes sure players are not screaming profanities or slurs at others. It could also be a better report system that players can implement. What Activision wants is to make sure that online multiplayer is welcoming for everyone in Modern Warfare 3.
