MW3 Zombies: How To Refund Weapon Upgrades

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 features plenty of unique weapons that are available in Zombies Mode only. Throughout a playthrough of Zombies, players can upgrade their weapons in a variety of different ways. But what if players regret making an upgrade to their weapon? How To Refund Weapon Upgrades In Modern Warfare 3 Zombies

If there's a weapon a player is using in Modern Warfare 3 Zombies that they don't want upgraded, they'll need to put in a bit of effort to remove that upgrade. Luckily, there's a method to downgrade Zombies weapons. The key to do so is on a Tombstone west of Old Town.

There's a tombstone that has two rifles and three swords around it. On that tombstone, players can pay their respects to the tombstone. A portal will open and then players will have the ability to refund their weapon upgrades on the weapon that they currently have equipped.

Modern Warfare 3 Zombies Pay Respects Easter Egg

This refund feature is an Easter Egg. In Call of Duty Advance Warfare, there was a sequence where players had to press F to pay their respects to a dead soldier. Press F to Pay Respects quickly became a meme that people still reference today.

That moment has been recaptured in Modern Warfare 3 Zombie Mode via the upgrade refund mechanic. Players will need to pay their respects and then they can remove Pack-a-Punch levels, Ammo Mods, and Rarity of the weapon. This is a very useful mechanic for players so it will be important to quickly learn where the grave is for all runs of Zombies Mode.
