Dave the Diver is one of the breakout games for 2023 that made a lot of waves online. The game has a rather simple concept, you play a diver name Dave and you jump into a body of water called The Blue Hole. You catch a large variety of fish that you then bring to the sushi restaurant that you manage.

That sushi is then served to your customers and you repeat the progress as you go through the story of the game. Although you can serve nearly anything as sushi, sometimes you need to catch a specific fish. Here, we are going to tell you exactly how you can find and catch the Humboldt Squid in Dave The Diver.

In Dave the Diver, the body of water that you are diving into is called The Blue Hole, which changes with every dive and offers a variety of fish and items to find. The main thing that affects what you will find in The Blue Hole is both the time of day and the weather. Knowing when to dive is essential for catching certain fish.

If you are looking for the Humboldt Squid, you must absolutely do so during the nighttime. The Humboldt Squid does not spawn in the morning or the afternoon. From what we can see, most of the time, having normal weather is preferable for finding the Humboldt Squid. Just make sure you dive at night at around 75m and you should find the Humboldt Squid.

One thing that you will notice about the Humboldt Squid in Dave the Diver is that it is the biggest non-boss squid you will catch. Although the harpoon will stick to the Humboldt Squid, you cannot catch it with the harpoon gun. That means the easiest way to get the Humbolt Squid is to kill it and then carve it up.

But that will ruin some of the meat and if you are looking for a 3-star catch, you want to catch it alive. To do so, you need to put the Humbolt Squid to sleep first and then use the salvage drone to catch it. You can use an automatic net bomb to catch it but putting it to sleep is the most consistent way to catch the Humboldt Squid.
