There have been a lot of great games released in 2023 but Dave the Diver is one that took everyone by surprise. No one was expecting this game to do so well or make any waves, however, Dave the Diver sold nearly 1 million copies within its first 10 days of release. An impressive feat in 2023.

The game is rather simple in concept, the main focus is for you to dive into the ocean and collect a wide variety of aquatic life to serve as sushi in the restaurant you manage. Sometimes, you will be requested to serve a special kind of sushi for certain customers. Here, we are going to go over how to find and catch Vampire Squid in Dave the Diver.

In Dave the Diver, there are actually a lot of different environments that you can explore that will have different ecosystems and different fish. The more you progress through the game, the more areas you can explore. So if you are hunting for the Vampire Squid, you are going to want to head to one of the late-game areas.

The Vampire Squid can only be found in the Glacial Passage area. This area is right after the Sea People Village and right before the Glacier Area. You can only go here during the morning or afternoon but it doesn't really matter what time you decide to go. The weather will also not impact your ability to find Vampire Squid either.

Now that you know how to find the Vampire Squid, it's time for you to catch it. Thankfully, you won't have too much trouble catching it. You can simply catch the Vampire Squid using your harpoon gun. Just be aware that since the Vampire Squid is in a late-game area, you will have to upgrade your harpoon gun several times before you can catch it in one shot.

There are other ways to catch the Vampire Squid. The most recommended way we suggest is to use the net gun. This allows you to catch smaller fish, like Vampire Squids, quite easily and will give you a 3-star catch. You can also catch Vampire Squid by putting it to sleep using equipment like the Hush Dart to tranquilize it.
