As confirmed on Twitter, Dead Island 2 will release via the Epic Games Store on 21 April 2023 at midnight local time for PlayStation 4|5. However, it would seem that Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC users will see the game release on 20 April 2023 at 11 pm ET | 8 pm PT. That means that players in certain parts of the world could get to access Dead Island 2 slightly earlier than others. Initially announced in 2014, fans have been eagerly awaiting news of the game's release date ever since. Originally, the game was being developed by Yager Development, but the studio was removed from the project due to creative differences and later handed over to Dambuster Studios in 2019.
