EVO 2018

EVO 2018
The iconic fighting games event returns once more. EVO 2018 is shaping up to be as dramatic as ever, with tournaments in all the major titles: Street Fighter V, Tekken 7, Guilty Gear Xrd, Injustice 2, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Super Smash Bros Wii U, Dragonball FighterZ. There will even be a tournament in the lesser-known title Blazblue Cross Tag Battle. This time round, EVO will be held in Las Vegas, with the Mandala Bay resort providing the backdrop to the esports action. The competition will be spread over three days, with the event kicking off on August 3 and coming to a close on August 5. As ever, EVO is open to everyone, welcoming competitors of all skill levels. The sprawling open brackets of the event's tournaments could hardly be better for generating upsets and zero-to-hero stories, with complete newcomers facing off against FGC legends on a regular basis. This is true of all fighting games events, of course – but EVO still stands as the leading light among them. Stay tuned for updates as we get closer to the event!
