The Fortnite community has always been quick to sniff out any possible rumors and information that may pertain to future content coming to the popular battle royale. And the recent rumors circulating are no different as they seemingly hint at the possible release date for Season 5 of Chapter 3. 

Since we're only so close to the release of Season 4, this information might seem strange to some, and you might want to know more about this possible leak. Well sit back, and read on as we break down everything regarding the recent leak for a possible release date of Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 5. 

Possible Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 5 release date leaked

A recent Twitter post from an industry insider and popular Battlefield and Call of Duty leaker, Tom Henderson, has supposedly leaked the release date for Fortnite's upcoming fifth season. While we can't confirm this due date (since a date for season 4 hasn't even been announced yet), the information is interesting, to say the least. 

Henderson announced this morning that Season 5 will begin on the 5th December later this year. As mentioned before, since Epic Games has not yet officially announced its launch plans for Season 4, it's unsure as to what this means for Season 4 before Season 5 releases.

As always, we suggest that fans treat unverified information with caution. Henderson's reported Fortnite Season 5 release date of December 2022 does not seem too far-fetched, though.

What makes this notable, is that on the 2nd December 2020, Chapter 2 Season 5 became available on all platforms. And on December 5, 2021, Chapter 3 made its debut. So a release on this December date would make sense for Season 5 and we can see why Henderson has the suspicions he does. 

Of course, the real concern is what the Season 5 theme will be. However, similar information about the upcoming major update is currently being kept under wraps, so it won't be available for some time.

Last but not least, players anticipate the release of Fortnite Season 4 on September 18 even though Epic Games has not yet confirmed this information. So for the time being, we'll just have to wait and see if Season 4 and 5 will be released as speculated.
