Genshin Impact leaks reveals a Pokémon-style item

With 2.3 leaks making the rounds, the latest Genshin Impact leak depicts a Pokémon-style item that may arrive soon.
Genshin Impact leaks continue to reveal what Travelers can anticipate soon. With leaked images and videos for Itto, Gorou and the Sumeru region already available, the latest leak revealed a new in-game item.

The surprising element is that the item bears similarities with the iconic Poké Ball. To that extent, we unpack the leaks and datamines uncovered on this peculiar item.

A Pokémon-type item arriving in Genshin Impact

Trusted Genshin Impact source, Genshin Intel, was the first to report on the rumoured in-game item. Likely discovered from datamined information, this in-game item possesses similar capabilities to the Poké Ball.

According to Genshin Intel, the Omni-Ubiquity Net allows Travelers to catch wild animals and creatures in Teyvat. When caught, they can be kept or stored in the Serenitea Pot.

Details haven’t revealed much about the item, the image provided does give us a glimpse as to how the item will function. And like the Poké Ball, the item can be directed at animals if Travelers wish to catch them.

Animals that are nimble and small in size could be rather difficult for Travelers to catch. As such, Travelers would require more precise  accuracy when utilising the item.

In the supplied image, a Traveler is shown aiming the item at a pair of foxes which should be simple enough to catch. What has yet to be determined is whether larger animals can be caught with the item.

The intrigue surrounding the discovery of the leak may gain some attention from dedicated Pokémon players. Moreover, the concept of this item will see plenty of Travelers spending more time catching animals for their teapot.

Furthermore, this in-game item may hint at possible animal additions arriving soon. With the little details provided, many are discussing if the item’s leak could have a greater significance to the game.

Across Teyvat, there are plenty of areas sprawling with a diversity of animals for players to catch, but there are still areas we have yet to explore.
