With the reception to Hogwarts Legacy being positive thanks to the game's fantastic features and amazing world of magic to discover, some players are already wondering whether the game will be expanded upon. More specifically, players are curious to know if Hogwarts Legacy will be receiving a DLC. 

Well, that's what we're here to discuss today, as we take a look at whether or not Hogwarts Legacy will have a DLC. We'll also take a look at what the fans would want from a Hogwarts Legacy DLC and what we can look forward to in the future. 

REMINDER - Hogwarts Legacy was due to launch on PS4 and Xbox One on April 4, but now won't release until 5 May 2023.

Will Hogwarts Legacy Have Any DLC?

To answer this question simply, there is a good chance for Hogwarts Legacy to receive a DLC, but it depends on a few things. The first and most important aspect is how successful the base game is, since the developer's cant bank on brand name recognition to sell the DLC just yet. 

This means that we will have to wait and how well the game performs across all platforms over the next few months, and if all goes well, a DLC is likely to follow. However, there may be some evidence that a DLC or at least some added content is on the way regardless.

What Could We See From Hogwarts Legacy DLC?

Information from a recent Twitter post highlights the fact that some locations such as the Swamp and Highlands are in the game but are inaccessible right now. This could mean that they may be released as additional content throughout the year, or as a future DLC, but for now, we'll just have to take this information with a grain of salt as we wait on word from the developers. 

In regards to what we can expect if a DLC does come for the game, it would likely include more than just a new area to explore. Similarly to the Deluxe Edition of the game that game players Dark Arts skins and the Thestral mount, a DLC may give us more customization options, new mounts, new spells, items, and much more.

But for now, all we can do is wait and see how well the game performs across the world to assess the viability of a possible DLC in the future.
