Honkai Star Rail Game Systems Explained

There are several Honkai Star Rail game systems that players will need to get their heads around in order to fully understand this game. We'll break down each Honkai Star Rail game system and things you need to know when playing through the game.

Trailblaze Level

Your Trailblaze level is the same as your account level. Bear in mind that this is not the same as the protagonist or Trailblazer's level (however, the two are linked). Trailblaze level will increase as you complete missions and events (by spending Trailblaze Power - Honkai Star Rail's energy system).

Increasing your Trailblaze level will increase the number of times you can ascend your characters, thereby increasing their overall level.

Additionally, as Trailblaze level increases, so does Honkai Star Rail's Equilibrium level, which will increase the strength of enemies. Equilibrium level changes corresponding to the following Trailblaze Level:

  • 20
  • 30
  • 40
  • 50
  • 60
  • 65

Trailblaze Power

Trailblaze Power is Honkai Star Rail's energy resource. Players must spend Trailblaze Power doing just about anything in this game, from missions to events. This is capped at 180 power and will replenish over the course of the day (or by using Fuel).

Missions

There are three different mission types in Honkai Star Rail. These are the following:

  • Trailblaze Missions:
    • Main story missions.
  • Adventure Missions:
    • Side story missions.
  • Training Missions:
    • 5 daily missions.

Operation Briefing

Honkai Star Rail Operation Briefing is a once-per-account set of beginner missions that are supposed to help newer players get started in the game. There are nine pages of the Operation Briefing missions, and each task offers rewards, including Stellar Jade, Warp Passes, and more.

Achievements

Honkai Star rail achievements work the same here as they do in any other game. By completing certain tasks, players can earn achievements and earn rewards like Stellar Jade.

Assignments

Assignments are passive missions that players can assign their characters to do in order to gather resources. These are similar to Dispatch Missions in other gacha games. Players will be able to acquire additional currency and materials over a set period (4, 8, 12, and 20 hours) by delegating up to 8 characters for Assignments. Players can still use characters currently undergoing Assignments.

And that's everything you need to know about Honkai Star Rail game systems.
