A bizarre situation has developed involving former League of Legends pro and Worlds 2012 winner, Lau "Toyz" Wai Kin, who has been arrested for the possession of cannabis and on suspicion of being involved with drug trafficking in Taichung, Taiwan.

According to the South Korean website, Naver, multiple Taiwanese outlets reported the story of Toyz's arrest on 29th September. After authorities searched his home, they found a total of 200 pieces of cannabis, which he had intended to sell online. "Taichung District Prosecutors' Office detained Curtis on charges of second-degree marijuana smuggling and has applied for an arrest warrant," the report stated.

The former pro, who is now a coach and content creator, was well known within the League of Legends community for leading the Taipei Assassins to an incredible win at Worlds 2012, defeating Azubu Frost in the Grand Finals, held in Los Angeles.

According to the Narcotics Hazard Prevention Act, cannabis is considered to be a Type 2 narcotic and any person found guilty of trafficking will be "subject to life imprisonment or a minimum ten-year fixed-term imprisonment."
