Where To Find Nasty Plot In Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

When it comes to playing Pokemon Scarlet and Violet on a competitive level, it is important to have the perfect moves for your Pokemon. Unfortunately, a pocket monster has only four move slots, so it is imperative that players choose actions that can help them cover nearly any situation.

That said, Nasty Plot is one of the most helpful moves in the game because it helps raise your special attack stat by two levels, conferring a huge advantage. Thankfully, Nasty Plot is also one of the easier TMs you can obtain in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Here, we will provide the steps you need to follow to get the Nasty Plot TM for yourself.

You can get the Nasty Plot TM (also known as TM140) in a couple of different ways in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. The first and easiest way to get Nasty Plot is via Area Zero. But you cannot access Area Zero without completing the three main storylines of the game.

Another way to obtain the Nasty Plot TM is through The Academy; however, you must complete all the history class lessons. On top of that, you also need to catch the four legendary Pokemon: Ting-Lu, Chi-Yu, Chien-Pao, and Wo-Chien. Once you do that, return to The Academy in your game, and then the history professor will reward you with TM140.

In Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, players can also craft their own TMs. You can do this at any Pokemon Center in the game. You will need a couple of ingredients to craft TM140. The ingredients you need are as follows:

  • 5000 LP
  • 3 Meowth Fur
  • 3 Spiritomb Fragments
  • 3 Tatsugiri Scales

The easiest way to farm materials like this is to use the Lets Go feature in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Essentially, this feature allows your Pokemon to automatically battle wild Pokemon and gain EXP from it while obtaining their respective materials. Using this feature will make farming materials for TMs a lot easier.
