“Valorant On Console” Confirmed In Latest Riot Job Listings

Riot has listed a bunch of openings online, and two of them have confirmed Valorant for consoles. The job listings on Hitmarker regarding Valorant have the titles "Game Design Manager, Console - VALORANT" and "Senior Game Designer, Console - VALORANT," which confirms the console version of the game.

As per these job listings, the Game Design Manager for Console "will help set a vision and guide designers on bringing VALORANT to new platforms." In addition to this, they will be "responsible for upholding design principles that define VALORANT on PC while transforming it into the definitive tactical shooter for Consoles."

One of the job responsibilities for this role states that Game Design Manager for Console will "work with team leads to develop a vision for combat in VALORANT on Consoles." While on the other hand, the Senior Game Designer will "design and refine features, modes, and systems to help bring console game products to market."

Joe Ziegler, Valorant Game Director at Riot Games, confirmed in 2020 that the team is exploring possibilities of bringing the game to console; however, he specifically mentioned that exploring possibilities isn't the same as confirmation. However, with the listings, it is confirmed that the work has started on it.

We will keep you updated with all the latest information regarding this on this page, so make sure to keep an eye on it.
