VALORANT Mobile: Release date, gameplay details and more

On 2nd June 2021, Riot Games boasted some big, tasty numbers as Valorant has achieved 14 million active players with around half a billion games played in the game's first year. As earlier leaks have suggested, Riot also took time during the celebration to announce VALORANT Mobile. Here's what we know so far about VALORANT Mobile, from what we expect to see to a chat about the release date. 

VALORANT Mobile release date?

First of all, put away your phone or tablet, you might not be needing them for quite some time. Riot Games has not revealed the release date for VALORANT Mobile.

While there's no telling what the exact VALORANT Mobile release date is just yet, it appears that mobile devices will be first in line to receive Riot's FPS and not consoles as many gamers would expect.

Riot Games is starting with VALORANT Mobile in their push to bring the game to "more players around the world". For all we know, the mobile release could be years away, or Riot could have been cooking it up for quite some time.

VALORANT Mobile: Gameplay & details

As with most mobile ports of popular titles, fans should expect VALORANT Mobile to bring that same competitive feeling on the smaller screens.

Talking about VALORANT Mobile, the Executive Producer of Valorant, Anna Donlon, mentioned that Riot wants to bring the same competitive experience to even more players across the globe.

Anna Donlon states: "One of our top goals this first year was to earn the trust and respect of the global FPS community and to prove to them that Valorant will always uphold the fundamentals of a truly worthwhile competitive tac-shooter.

"To see our growing player community recognize and appreciate what we’re trying to do with Valorant is beyond what we could’ve expected and we’re thrilled to soon offer the same competitive Valorant experience to even more global players."

From this quote, we can assume VALORANT Mobile will have the same general gameplay and feel. That's the only real gameplay detail we've found so far. The exact details about VALORANT Mobile as well as how it will pay is still unknown at the time of writing.
