Does Chivalry 2 have cross-play support?

Chivalry 2 is coming to consoles and PC, but will the same support cross-play?
Does Chivalry 2 have cross-play support?

Chivalry 2 is finally releasing this June, bringing the classic medieval battles simulator to the modern systems.

The "first-person slasher" will feature full-scale medieval battles, with catapults destroying fortresses, peasant running for their lives, knights charging into each other with swords drawn as countless arrows are swishing through the air, while soldiers dying all around you in the most gruesome ways.

It is a brutal and exciting experience, that faithfully recreates the horror of medieval clashes, and that's why the first game was so popular.

With a big focus on massive battles with a myriad of players, it seems that Chivalry 2 can be a perfect game to support cross-play, especially considering the fact that the game releases on practically all modern systems.

Is there cross-play in Chivalry 2?

With Chivalry 2 coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC, players have been wondering if the game will have cross-play enabled across all platforms?

And thankfully, we have good news for you. It has been confirmed that the game will support cross-play for all platforms!

That means that, for example, as a PC player, you will be able to participate in epic massive medieval battles along with your friends who play the game on PlayStation or Xbox consoles, there won't be any limitations!

You can play both with your friends and other players online across all systems.

At the time of writing, it hasn't been confirmed if cross-play will be permanently enabled or optional, and that will probably depend on how big the player base will be at launch, as massive battles require an equally big player base for them to function properly.

At release, the game will not immediately launch on Steam, rather it will be an Epic Story exclusive for a year, which might disappoint some PC players and it remains to be seen how will that affect the overall sales of the game.

Chivalry 2 is set to be released on 8th June on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC (via Epic Games Store).
