Within every Treyarch Call of Duty title since Black Ops 2, there’s been a three-round burst pistol.

In BO2 it was the B23R, Black Ops 3 featured the RK5, and two years ago Black Ops 4 introduced the RK7. Usually, these pistols are at the forefront of the meta for most of the year. The B23R was even one of the most overpowered weapons in BO2 for a stretch. However, in Black Ops Cold War, the Diamatti isn’t the best pistol right out of the gate.

While most players currently prefer the 1911, the three-round burst pistol is still a viable option as a secondary. Although to overpower the 1911, you’ll need a beefy attachment set-up.

The Diamatti’s strength comes from its ability to two-burst enemies. If you can manage to hit all of your bursts, the pistol’s time-to-kill is fairly decent. However, if you miss some shots, you’re more than likely dead before you can hit the fatal blow. As such, your attachments on the Diamatti need to prioritize accuracy and damage above all else.
