The Fortnite World Cup will not return in 2021, developer Epic Games has confirmed. <\/p>\n

In a blog post<\/a> detailing Fortnite’s competitive plans for next year, Epic explained they have no plans to hold in-person events due to the uncertainty of safety amid the pandemic.<\/p>\n

“Our intent is to eventually hold global in-person tournaments again,” the post reads. “But our priority for any such event is the health and safety of our players and staff.<\/p>\n

“With so much still unknown about what is practical and safe, we do not plan to hold in-person events in 2021, including a Fortnite World Cup. <\/p>\n
