Razor is a high-tier DPS character with great consistent damage without too much complexity to muddy the waters. You really aren’t going to be playing this character as anything but a damage dealer.

He was raised by wolves after all, so let’s show you how Razor gets on the hunt.

Genshin Impact Razor guide

Weapons

Razor does one thing and one thing only: DPS. His Claymore ought to match. Here are a few that really hit the spot:

Wolf’s Gravestone

"Genshin(Picture: miHoYo)

A somewhat ironic weapon choice, considering the character. Nevertheless, Razor will have to put aside his distaste for wielding Wolf’s Gravestone because it absolutely slaps. In short, it’s lots of ATK stat and basic attack amps – precisely what Razor needs. The gold standard.

Skyward Pride

"Best(Picture: miHoYo)

Less consistent damage than Wolf’s Gravestone in favour of more Elemental Bursts. Energy Recharge means Lightning Fang gets to be active way more consistently, which means more damage and Attack SPD steroids for Razor. Add in Sky-ripping Dragon Spine for the vacuum blade AoE and Skyward Pride can make Razor very formidable.

Good for a DPS choice, better still for a sub-DPS build.

Prototype Animus

"weapons(Picture: miHoYo)

A strong choice and far more easily attainable than the previous two options. Attack scaling is always great on Razor, and Crush has the potential to absolutely obliterate the unfortunate opponent(s) it hits. Better yet, because it’s forgeable Crush can be made increasingly powerful through Refinement with relative ease.

Debate Club

"Genshin(Picture: miHoYo)

A last, perhaps unusual option that deserves a mention. Debate Club is surprisingly well thought of in the Genshin Impact community, and it’s another tier easier again to acquire and Refine than Prototype Animus. Razor can have Blunt Conclusion Active effectively on CD because of how spammable his Elemental Skill is, elevating the weapon via its ability rather than its 3* stats.

Artifacts

With Razor’s main goals in mind (again for those at the back, it’s damage), there are two main ways to build Razor:

Either go Full Gladiator’s Finale or a 2/2 split between Gladiator’s Finale and Bloodstained Chivalry. Both empower Razor’s sustained DPS and high uptime playstyle, with Gladiator’s Finale offering a slightly more versatile damage profile, while the Bloodstained Chivalry split really empowers his basic attacks.
