While Cyberpunk 2077’s launch has been plagued with issues such as bugs and low performance, Night City is still a tempting place to visit. In an early side quest, you might think you can’t get your gun from Wilson due to a bug, and even check the new hotfix 1.04 patch notes to see if there’s any mention of the quest.

How to get your gun from Wilson in Cyberpunk 2077

Straight after you’ve completed your Lifepath’s introductory section, there’s a side quest in Cyberpunk 2077 asking you to go and get your gun from an NPC called Wilson.

This quest isn’t necessary to continue a gun but with everything being so expensive in Night City, an extra weapon is always nice.

We were stuck for nearly 15 minutes on this side quest which should take less than one minute if you know how to get your gun from Wilson.

First off, Wilson is the owner of the 2nd Amendment shop (the gun shop) in V’s apartment complex. He is on the main floor of your building as you exit the gym area, so you can’t really miss him.

What you can miss, however, is your gun called the Dying Night. It is an uncommon pistol with some nice bonus damage to headshot, and definitely something you want to pick up.

The quest simply guides you to talk to Wilson but when you do, your only dialogue option is “Let’s see what you have” which opens the shopkeeper’s inventory.
