{"id":11227,"date":"2020-12-31T11:51:51","date_gmt":"2020-12-31T11:51:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/black-ops-cold-war-xbox-series-x-crashes-how-to-fix"},"modified":"2024-07-19T17:22:20","modified_gmt":"2024-07-19T17:22:20","slug":"black-ops-cold-war-xbox-series-x-crashes-how-to-fix","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/call-of-duty-black-ops-cold-war\/black-ops-cold-war-xbox-series-x-crashes-how-to-fix","title":{"rendered":"Black Ops Cold War Xbox Series X crashes: How to fix"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Over the last few weeks, Black Ops Cold War players have been reporting constant issues when playing the game on Xbox Series X.<\/p>\n<p>It seems that the most severe problem is that for many players the game crashes &#8220;at least a few times&#8221; daily, which renders the game almost unplayable.<\/p>\n<p>While crashes occur on all platforms, it seems that the problem is the most prevailing on Xbox Series X and that it is related to multiplayer.<\/p>\n<p>Developer Treyarch reassures players that they are investigating all issues related to crashing and are trying to find the solution, but that might take a while, and so players are trying to find alternative solutions until the official fix is being deployed.<\/p>\n<h2>Fix for Black Ops Cold War crashing on Xbox Series X&nbsp;<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-cf.ginx.tv\/imgcdn\/5BJjkvXtI9KRN9f6A-U9AP--3obX1I9Vf0OBy4cbAz8\/rs:fill:0:0:1\/g:ce\/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2lueC50di91cGxvYWRzL0NvbGRfV2FyX0JsYWNrX09wc19hay00Ny5wbmc\" alt=\"Fix for Cold War Crashing on Xbox Series X\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" loading=\"lazy\"><br \/><span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\">(Picture: Activision)<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Players have found several solutions that might help if you are experiences crashes while playing Black Ops Cold War on Xbox Series X.<\/p>\n<p>Some players are reporting that the main problem is party chat overlay, and when they turned it off, crashes have stopped occurring.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Read more: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/call-of-duty-black-ops-cold-war\/black-ops-cold-war-free-lw3-tundra-bronzewood-blueprint-how-to-get\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Black Ops Cold War free LW3 Tundra Bronzewood blueprint: How to get<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Others are suggesting that Ray Tracing should be off because it causes the game to crash.<\/p>\n<p>But it seems that there&#8217;s one very specific solution that works for almost anybody and it requires for players to do a few things when the match starts.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s what Reddit user EmadBella says about the issue:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>When the round starts, if your framerate is jittering, fire some shots to check if your controller is vibrating or not.<\/li>\n<li>If not, your game will crash during that match.<\/li>\n<li>To fix this, press and hold the Xbox button on your controller until you the power menu opens.<\/li>\n<li>Instead of doing anything there, just press B to close it.<\/li>\n<li>And that&#8217;s it, apparently, this should do the trick, the frames should be back to normal and the vibration will now work.
