(Picture: Riot Games)<\/span><\/p>\n<p>These nerfs as well as buffs to other Agents, coupled with a more complete understanding of the meta saw Brimstone&#8217;s pick-rate plummet, barely breaking into the top 10 Agents and at the very highest levels of the game, Radiant rank, where he is <a href=\"https:\/\/blitz.gg\/valorant\/stats\/agents?map=all&amp;queue=competitive&amp;tier=24\">picked just 1.8% of the time<\/a>, the lowest out of all thirteen of the Agents.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-cf.ginx.tv\/imgcdn\/JYK67Uisb-lLdlnRGf0rR-fP2MXk_hEi7WoGWwpiryY\/rs:fill:0:0:1\/g:ce\/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2lueC50di91cGxvYWRzL0JyaW1zdG9uZV9hZ2VudF9waWNrcy5qcGc\" alt=\"Brimstone buff\" width=\"1014\" height=\"694\" loading=\"lazy\"><br \/><span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\">Brimstone is now the least picked Agent in the highest ranks. (Picture: Blitz.gg)<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Thankfully for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/valorant\/valorant-brimstone-agent-guide-abilities-strategies-tips-%26-tricks-and-lore\">Brimstone<\/a> mains things could soon be better with Riot confirming that the forgotten man is set for a series of buffs likely coinciding with the release of the much anticipated Episode 2 Act 1.<\/p>\n<p>Now if you come here expecting to see what those buffs are we are sorry to disappoint as confirmation that they were on the way was all we got. In a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/VALORANT\/comments\/krb6cm\/riot_needs_to_tweak_brimstone\/gi9ivng\/?context=3\">post on the Valorant subreddit<\/a> about Riot&#8217;s need to &#8220;tweak&#8221; Brimstone, a short response from a dev confirmed that such changes were on the way &#8220;very soon&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>The original poster did suggest three ways that Brimstone could be buffed, these were:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pick smoke spots (pre-round even) and &ldquo;save&rdquo; them. When the time is right, hit E to smoke. You should be able to smoke how it works currently too.<\/li>\n<li>More range for smokes.<\/li>\n<li>Faster pull out time of his arm to smoke.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In response, Coleman &#8220;Altombre&#8221; Palm, whose work on Valorant is focused on game balance said, &#8220;We agree. Brimstone buffs are coming very soon!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Valorant Episode 2 Act 1 is set for release on the 13th January, with more information due to be unveiled on the 11th during a developer stream.
