This is due to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/call-of-duty-black-ops-cold-war\/dmr-14-tactical-rifle-problem-warzone-nickmercs\">overpowered nature<\/a> of the DMR 14 Tactical Rifle.<\/p>\n<p>On 6th January 2021, Raven Software deployed a balance update, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/call-of-duty-black-ops-cold-war\/warzone-january-6-update-dmr-type-63-mac-10-and-dual-pistols-all-nerfed\">nerfing the DMR 14, Type 63, MAC-10 and the Dual Pistols<\/a>. However, according to reports from multiple players, the DMR 14 nerfs were not enough, by a long shot.<\/p>\n<h2>DMR 14 nerfs in Warzone not enough&nbsp;<\/h2>\n<p>First up, let&#8217;s take a quick look at the nerfs in the latest Warzone balance update. Please note these only apply to Warzone and not Black Ops Cold War.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>DMR 14 &#8211; Reduced headshot damage, increased recoil<\/li>\n<li>Type 63 &#8211; Reduced headshot damage, increased recoil<\/li>\n<li>Mac-10 &#8211; Decreased headshot multiplier<\/li>\n<li>Dual pistols &#8211; Increased hip-fire spread, decreased damage range<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>While the DMR 14 did receive some nerfs, with a recoil increase and a headshot multiplayer damage decrease, this isn&#8217;t nearly enough to really make the weapon less effective.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-cf.ginx.tv\/imgcdn\/Y5CTbKtAhN5USFtC-j8bRcM1YesfN4MFTehws376LBk\/rs:fill:0:0:1\/g:ce\/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2lueC50di91cGxvYWRzL0RNUl8xNF8xLnBuZz9fdD0xNjA1NjEzOTE1\" alt=\"DMR 14 nerfs raven software overpowered\" width=\"600\" height=\"276\" loading=\"lazy\"><span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\">(Picture: Activision)<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Players are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/CODWarzone\/comments\/krrl7v\/dmr_mac10_after_nerf\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">reporting<\/a> they don&#8217;t feel a difference in the DMR 14, as well as other weapons after the Warzone balance update.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Even the voice actor for Ghost <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/jeffleach\/status\/1346864644581781505\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">took to Twitter<\/a> and tagged Raven Software, stating: &#8220;Just tested the DMR. It still 2-3 shot beams people at close-mid range. It&rsquo;s only 250+ metres that it kicks a bit and does slightly less damage.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;DMR-you-kidding me Raven Software? Nerf the rate of fire and ADS on attachments.
