{"id":11979,"date":"2021-01-26T15:28:12","date_gmt":"2021-01-26T15:28:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/banned-csgo-pro-jamppi-makes-switch-to-valorant"},"modified":"2024-07-19T09:43:30","modified_gmt":"2024-07-19T09:43:30","slug":"banned-csgo-pro-jamppi-makes-switch-to-valorant","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/banned-csgo-pro-jamppi-makes-switch-to-valorant","title":{"rendered":"Banned CSGO pro Jamppi makes switch to Valorant"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Elias &#8220;Jamppi&#8221; Olkkonen has officially announced his switch to Valorant as his status as a VAC-banned CSGO pro, despite legal battles, shows little sign of changing.<\/p>\n<p>The Finnish star, who was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hltv.org\/news\/30983\/jamppi-to-step-down-from-ence-report\">recently benched by ENCE<\/a>, revealed the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/cs-go\/cs-go-pro-jamppi-valorant-vac-ban\">long-rumoured change<\/a> in game via his Twitter.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I don&#8217;t think this is a surprise to anyone, there have already been some rumours about it but I will be switching to Valorant,&#8221; Jamppi said.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-cf.ginx.tv\/imgcdn\/GUmjrHRdPuqOZuIORHqenNlJk56nVPuCylyCDJA71B8\/rs:fill:0:0:1\/g:ce\/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2lueC50di91cGxvYWRzL2phbXBpaV8yLmpwZw\" alt=\"Jampii valorant\" width=\"823\" height=\"567\" loading=\"lazy\"><br \/><span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\">(Picture: Jamppi)<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s a fresh start for me[&#8230;] in CS I knew I could be one of the best players and compete against the best but there was always some things on my mind about the ban.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Jamppi has fought a highly public and, as of right now, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailyesports.gg\/court-denies-jamppis-request-for-his-vac-ban-to-be-temporarily-lifted\/\">unsuccessful battle against his VAC ban<\/a>. A ban which is for life and stops him from competing at CSGO majors &#8211; the highest level of competition in the esport.
