A few days ago, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla fans discovered a way to unlock the mysterious Isu Bow known as Nodens’ Arc.

Still, the method used to obtain Nodens’ Arc has been described as “brute force hack” by Darby McDevitt, AC Valhalla’s narrative director, who has revealed that there’s the proper in-game way to obtain this powerful weapon.

This revelation has led to an avalanche of fans trying to solve this mystery all over the internet, from forums and Reddit to YouTube.

And it took them just a few days to unravel the mystery and to uncover the proper way to get the bow.

"Secret
This mysterious bow is quite powerful (Picture: Ubisoft)

And it really is a fascinating mystery which involves physical copies of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Collector’s Edition and the fictional language of the Isu, an ancient and highly-advanced species of humanoid beings responsible for the creation of the Pieces of Eden.

The team behind the YouTube channel Access The Animus was the one responsible for this discovery, and here’s how they were able to do that.

How was the Isu mystery solved?

As we mentioned above, the mystery behind this bow was heavily related to the Isu language, which is a fictional language of the mysterious and ancient Isu people.

It turns out that the Collector’s Edition and the Isu words on it were the main clues for solving this puzzle.

The mystery starts here, by translating the Isu writings(Picture: Ubisoft/Access The Animus)

The first clue was a sentence in the Isu language on the Collector’s Edition box. Initially, Access The Animus was able to translate is a “The key is the…” but the last word was missing.

That unknown word can be seen on the collector’s box again, below the crow design.

By examining further, they saw the hidden Excalibur within the Crow, and the unknown word aligns nicely with the sword, which led them to believe that the last word is, in fact, Excalibur (sword).

Excalibur was the second piece of the puzzle(Picture: Ubisoft/Access The Animus)

With that newly found info, they had the full sentence translated: “The key is the sword.”

At that point, they were sure that Excalibur is the weapon needed to break the stone. The in-game description of Excalibur reads: “Legends say it can break anything.”

While the location was already known from JorRaptor’s video, the lake southeast from Brunton Turret, this location could have also been discovered as a part of the mystery.

Mysterious Isu numbers might be coordinates that are point to the location(Picture: Ubisoft/Access The Animus)

Access The Animus believes that the location is connected with the Isu numbers which can be found on the Collector’s Edition steelbook, which they think are the coordinates, but they haven’t been able to decipher them yet.

But fans have been able to notice one other interesting detail. The lake where the bow has been hidden has been shaped almost exactly the same as the island of Singapore from the real world.

One of the studios working on the game was Ubisoft Singapore, and the location of Ubisoft Singapore within Singapore Island is almost exactly the same as the location of a small island within the lake where the Isu Bow is located.

Ubisoft Singapore has developed Eurvicscire, the region where the bow is hidden, and the Isu language was designed by Antoine Henry, who also works at Ubisoft Singapore.
