It was NRG vs. Rogue for the second time in RLCS X Games as they had previously faced off in the Winners’ Bracket Finals earlier in Championship Sunday, where Rogue came on top 4-3.<\/p>\n Read more: Rocket League to introduce Fennec esports decals and more in Feb 1<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n Rogue was looking to secure their first Regional championship since the start of the revamped RLCS X<\/a> while NRG searched for their second title win.<\/p>\n NRG quickly fell behind and ended up playing catch-up every other game, tying the series in Games 2 and 4. <\/p>\n Mariano “SquishyMuffinz” Arruda played a huge role both defensively and offensively, keeping the first best-of-seven series close and NRG’s hopes alive.<\/p>\n Repeating their WB match pushing the Grand Finals to Game 7, NRG won forcing a bracket reset.<\/p>\n A fresh best-of-seven series was underway for NRG to come back, but Rogue had different plans in mind.<\/p>\n In upset and impressive fashion, Rogue clean-swept NRG in the second best-of-seven series, outscoring them 9-2 in the span of four games and winning the first-ever RLCS X Games.<\/p>\n Rogue wasn’t taking any prisoners during their Upper Bracket run. Knocking down huge Rocket League esports names like Radiant, G2 Esports, Team Envy and NRG on their way Grand Finals.<\/p>\n NRG had a rocky road through both brackets.
