As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, one of the most affected esport events has been the Six Invitational 2021<\/a>, the summit that would bring the 20 best teams in the world in Rainbow Six: Siege.<\/p>\n

After Australian team Wildcard Gaming was forced to drop from the competition<\/a> due to restrictions set in place by the Aussie government, Brazilian news outlet Globo has reported that the event could be postponed or even canceled due to new traveling regulations implemented in France, the host country, that would affect almost all the squads looking to compete.<\/p>\n

In fact, up to 12 of the 19 remaining teams would not be able to travel, which is why the conditions to carry on with the tournament would not be met, at least not in person.<\/p>\n

Ubisoft for its part has already contacted the teams, and health and safety agencies from the French government, to reach an agreement to make the event be carried out in a timely manner, or in the worst of the cases, delay it a few days using strategies such as preventive quarantine for all participating players.<\/p>\n
