With today&#8217;s announcement Paradox confirms that the game is still being worked on, but Hardsuit Labs has been replaced and will no longer lead the development of the game.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-cf.ginx.tv\/imgcdn\/iTM2OA60870o9AFq0Yfy6Rbj72miyDT_j4JEEEewLpU\/rs:fill:0:0:1\/g:ce\/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2lueC50di91cGxvYWRzL05pa29sYV9TYXZpJUM0JTg3L2Jsb29kbGluZXNfMl90ZXh0LmpwZw\" alt=\"Vampire: The Masquerade &ndash; Bloodlines 2 release date\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" loading=\"lazy\"><br \/><span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\">The game has been delayed for the 3rd time (Picture: Paradox Interactive)<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The first piece of news we have for you is to confirm that Bloodlines 2 is still in development,&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloodlines2.com\/en\/bloodlines-2-development-update\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reads the announcement.<\/a> &#8220;Secondly, we have made the hard decision that Hardsuit Labs will no longer be leading the development of Bloodlines 2 &#8211; which also means that we will not be releasing in 2021 as previously planned.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Paradox explains that the game is &#8220;very important to us&#8221; and that&#8217;s why they are making these changes because they think that&#8217;s what the game needs in order to meet their goals and high standards that fans are expecting.<\/p>\n<p>The announcement didn&#8217;t reveal which studio will replace Hardsuit Labs and take over the development of the game, but Paradox says they will share more information about the future development team of Bloodlines 2 &#8220;as soon as we can&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-cf.ginx.tv\/imgcdn\/P1FDwhGBoROm0MHVNky33TKHbS4eLoYQauub2hgmNG8\/rs:fill:0:0:1\/g:ce\/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2lueC50di91cGxvYWRzL05pa29sYV9TYXZpJUM0JTg3L1ZhbXBpcmVfVGhlX01hc3F1ZXJhZGVfJUUyJTgwJTkzX0Jsb29kbGluZXNfMl9yZWxlYXNlX2RhdGUuanBn\" alt=\"Vampire The Masquerade &ndash; Bloodlines 2 release date\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" loading=\"lazy\"><br \/><span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\">At least the game won&#8217;t end up on the graveyard of unreleased games (Picture: Paradox Interactive)<\/span><\/p>\n<p>This change marks another stumbling block in the game&#8217;s development and only further increases the fears of fans about the final result.<\/p>\n<p>Bloodlines 2 was meant to come out originally in March 2020 but was then delayed to the second half of 2020. The game saw another delay in August 2020 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/video-games\/vampire-bloodlines-2-delayed-2021\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">when it was pushed to 2021<\/a>, and shortly after, it was announced that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/video-games\/paradox-fired-brian-mitsoda-from-his-position-as-narrative-lead-on-bloodlines-2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Brian Mitsoda will no longer work as a lead narrative designer<\/a> on the game.
