Riot Games has officially revealed the location of VCT Stage 2 Masters, which will be held in Reykjavík, Iceland.<\/p>\n

This will mark the first time in the game’s history that the top tier teams from around the world will be competing in a LAN environment, despite the game being almost a year old, due to unfortunate circumstances and the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak.<\/p>\n

The tournament will feature 10 of the best teams representing their regions, which will secure their spot for Masters Reykjavík through their regional Stage 2 Challengers events.<\/p>\n

Riot Games confirmed that the tournament will be played on special offline Valorant servers, which will create “virtually a lag-free experience, similar to competitive League of Legends”.<\/p>\n

This will be the second major event this year, with Masters Stage 1 being held online.<\/p>\n

The tournament will be held in a venue called Laugardalshöll, which is the largest concert venue in Iceland, with a maximum capacity of 11,000. Unfortunately, Riot has confirmed that there will be no live audience, due to strict safety measures.<\/p>\n

“Teams will quarantine upon arrival in Iceland. For the health and safety of our players, staff, and local residents, the event will not be able to accommodate a live audience,” reads the announcement.<\/a><\/p>\n

The event will be held from 24th May to 30th May, right after MSI 2021, which will also take place in Reykjavik.<\/a><\/p>\n
