After all, it doesn&rsquo;t possess the damage output or upgradability of something like a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/valheim\/valheim-the-best-sword-to-use\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sword<\/a> or Axe.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">However, there are few weapons more unique than the Spear, as it has multiple forms of attack. While all have merit at some point during the game, there&rsquo;s one clear winner when it comes to deciding which one is the best.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 dir=\"ltr\">Picking the right Spear in Valheim<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-cf.ginx.tv\/imgcdn\/H-za8wUP5lv--NNfgyOetNtiFO6n4bg--J7KOloPO7g\/rs:fill:0:0:1\/g:ce\/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2lueC50di91cGxvYWRzL3ZhbGhlaW1fc3BlYXJfMi5qcGc\" alt=\"Best spear in Valheim\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" loading=\"lazy\"><br \/><span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\">Spears have multiple attacks which can disarm enemies. (Picture: Iron Gate)&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Without question, the best Spear currently in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/valheim\">Valheim<\/a> is the Fang Spear. Unlike other categories, there&rsquo;s no <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/valheim\/valheim-how-to-make-black-metal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Blackmetal variant<\/a>, which usually takes home the best in class award for most weapons.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The Fang Spear is technically a Silver weapon that deals 70 damage and has a Knockback stat of 20. While it doesn&rsquo;t possess huge numbers stats-wise, it does have multiple attacks that no other weapon has access to.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Of course, the base attack is a jab that can hit a single enemy. However, there&rsquo;s also a secondary attack that allows you to throw the Spear long distances. There&rsquo;s no aiming with this mechanic though, so once you hit your keybind it will go flying. You are able to go retrieve your Spear, so don&rsquo;t worry about that.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">To craft the Fang Spear, you need to have beaten <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/valheim\/valheim-bonemass-boss-guide-location-summon-defeat\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bonemass<\/a>, the third boss, and have the following resources:&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Ancient Bark x10<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Wolf Fang x4<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Leather Scraps x2<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Silver x2<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Once all of this is in your inventory, go to your Forge and craft your new Spear.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>When deciding what weapon to use in Valheim, many players gloss over the Spear category.
